Alive House is recruiting new Board Members for 2025! This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of our work supporting newcomers, refugees, and international students through housing, employment, and community initiatives.
Board members serve a two-year term (renewable).
General Responsibilities:
Attend and actively participate in monthly board meetings (virtual and/or in-person).
Contribute to strategic planning and support Alive House’s mission, vision, and values.
Serve on at least one committee or project team, as needed.
Act as an ambassador for Alive House, helping to build relationships and share opportunities within your network.
Provide governance oversight, risk management, and financial stewardship to ensure the organization’s sustainability.
Open Roles:
Director of Real Estate – Provide strategic oversight of property acquisition, development, and compliance.
Director of Legal Affairs – Guide legal, compliance, risk, and governance matters.
Director of Fund Development – Lead fundraising strategies, campaigns, and donor engagement.
Secretary – Maintain records, minutes, and support board governance.
Treasurer – Oversee financial health, budgeting, and reporting.
